Request data deletion
You can delete your Thriftr account and the data associated with it (profile, listings, order history, Instagram handle and follower count) at any time. We process every request within 30 days.
In-app (fastest)
On the Thriftr mobile app go to the Account tab, or on the web go to Account, then scroll to Danger zone → Delete my account. Your account is anonymized immediately and you're signed out. Some anonymized order records are retained for 7 years to meet Indian tax law; everything else is erased.
By email
Email thriftrworld@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and tell us the phone number on your account. We'll confirm receipt within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Compose deletion requestWhat gets deleted
- Your profile (name, phone, photo, addresses).
- All Instagram-derived data we received via Meta's Graph API (handle, user ID, follower count, profile picture).
- Your listings and your wishlist.
- Reviews you posted.
- Cached push-notification tokens.
What we keep (anonymized)
- Completed order records (without your personally identifying fields) — retained for 7 years to comply with Indian tax law.
- Trust-and-safety records if your account was suspended for fraud or policy violation, so a banned user can't simply re-register — retained for as long as required to enforce the policy.
